Kutna Hora

This is a must-see one day trip! Kutna hora is a beautiful town in Central Bohemia, known for its silver mining in 16th century. The silver mining was also the source of wealth of the city, which made coins for the Czech kingdom for centuries. In the calm and cute town itself, there are several noteworthy churches, dominated by the gothic beauty St. Barbara Church. In a small village right next to the town called Sedlec is located one of the main reasons why so many tourists travel to Kutna hora - it's famous bone chapel, standing in a medieval cemetery. Even though the chapel is much smaller than you would expect from the pictures, the bone chandeliers, decorations and piles of skulls and bones in the side rooms are definitely worth visiting. Just wait and see....
